About me

Dulan is a third-year Ph.D. student working under the supervision of Dr. Luis Colón and Dr. Diana Aga. He received his B.S. honors degree in Environmental Science from the University of Peradeniya, Sri Lanka in 2020. Then he joined National Institute of Fundamental Studies (NIFS), Sri Lanka as a trainee research assistant. His current project at Colón Lab involves developing superficially porous organo-silica particles with improved hydrolytic stability for highly efficient analytical separations. Dulan was part of the organizing committee of National Virtual Conference on Multidisciplinary Research organized by Young Scientists Association-NISF, Sri Lanka in 2020. He was also a member of the planning committee of UB Chemistry Graduate Student Symposium, 2023. He spends his free time cleaning his aquariums and playing Skyrim.
