About me

Karoline is a third-year Ph.D. candidate in Chemistry working at the Watson Lab. Her research focuses on synthesizing nickel(II) doped CdS QDs interfaced with lead vanadium oxide nanowires. The main objective is to design a heterostructure capable of selectively reducing CO2 in aqueous media over the hydrogen generation evolution reaction. As a volunteer, she is part of the recruitment weekend planning committee and chair of UB's 2023 Graduate Student Symposium planning committee. Outside the lab, she enjoys going to the gym and drawing.
