About me

Nayanika is a third-year Ph.D. candidate working under the guidance of Prof. Timothy R. Cook at the University at Buffalo. Originally from Assam, India, Nayanika completed her master’s degree in chemistry from the University of Delhi. Her current research work is focused on the investigation of heavier chalcogenides and porphyrin-based self-assemblies to unlock their potential for various applications such as organic transformations and energy storage. She is one of the board of directors for Graduate Chemistry Club, UB. When not in the lab, Nayanika enjoys cooking, singing, and finding solace in art and craft activities.
