About me

Pratahdeep is a third-year Ph.D. student in the Department of Chemistry at SUNY UB. He completed his master’s degree in mechanical engineering with a focus on Material Science from UB and gravitated towards chemistry to further develop his knowledge in the field. Pratahdeep found his calling under the guidance of Dr. Yuguang Chris Li and is now focusing on developing Li-ion battery alternatives as a greener solution to the world’s energy needs. His current research focuses on the development of high-capacity Na-ion batteries and deciphering the science behind achieving this goal. Outside of the lab, Pratahdeep indulges in his passion for gaming and occasionally becomes overly competitive at it.
